e-Eval Physician Network

A Verified Network of
CIRS-Certified Evaluators.

When an impairment rating evaluation matters, when it has to hold up in deposition, settlement negotiation, or court, the qualifications of the evaluator are the first thing that gets challenged. The e-Eval Network is a directory of physicians whose impairment rating credentials have been formally verified through AAEME certification.

Searchable Directory

The e-Eval searchable directory connects attorneys, insurers, employers, and claims administrators with CIRS-certified physicians qualified to perform AMA Guides impairment rating evaluations. Listings are filterable by jurisdiction, specialty, AMA Guides edition, and credential.

Built for Two Audiences

The e-Eval Network exists to solve a specific problem on both sides of an impairment rating evaluation: referring parties need to find qualified evaluators, and certified physicians need to be findable by the parties who need them. The directory closes that loop.

For Referring Parties
Attorneys, insurers, employers, and claims administrators
An impairment rating from an unverified physician is a depositional liability. The e-Eval directory allows referring parties to identify physicians whose qualifications have been formally certified, before a referral is made.
  • Verified CIRS certification on every listing
  • Filterable by jurisdiction and AMA Guides edition
  • Specialty and credential information at a glance
  • Direct contact with the evaluating physician
For Certified Physicians
MDs, DOs, and DCs holding active CIRS or NIRSAT certification
Certified physicians who have invested in the credential should be findable by the referring parties looking for credentialed evaluators. Network membership puts a physician's verified credentials in front of attorneys, insurers, and employers actively seeking expert evaluators.
  • Automatic eligibility upon AAEME certification
  • No application or membership fee at this time
  • Listed by jurisdiction and credential held
  • Contact preferences set by the physician

Who Qualifies for Membership

Network eligibility is automatic for any MD, DO, or DC holding a current AAEME CIRS certification, including the NIRSAT credential, which satisfies the 5th Edition CIRS requirement. There is no separate application process. Eligibility tracks certification status: when a physician earns or renews a qualifying credential, network eligibility is active. Listing in the directory is opt-in: when the directory launches, certified physicians choose whether to be listed and what information appears publicly.

CIRS 5th Edition
Eligible for network membership
MDs, DOs, and DCs holding the AMA Guides 5th Edition CIRS certification qualify for network listing in jurisdictions that use the 5th Edition standard for impairment rating, including California and others.
CIRS 6th Edition
Eligible for network membership
MDs, DOs, and DCs holding the AMA Guides 6th Edition CIRS certification qualify for network listing in jurisdictions that have adopted the 6th Edition for workers' compensation and impairment rating.
NIRSAT
Eligible for network membership
NIRSAT certification incorporates the 5th Edition CIRS requirements. Nevada-licensed physicians holding active NIRSAT certification qualify for network listing in Nevada and in any 5th Edition jurisdiction.
Other
Not currently eligible
Healthcare professionals who have completed AAEME coursework but do not hold an active CIRS or NIRSAT certification, and physicians whose certifications have lapsed, are not currently eligible for network listing. Eligibility is reinstated upon current certification.

From Certification to Listing

The membership process is designed to require nothing extra of certified physicians. Eligibility, listing, and ongoing membership are all tied to certification status. The physician's only obligation is maintaining their AAEME credential.

01
Earn an AAEME certification
Complete the qualifying coursework and pass the certification examination for CIRS 5th Edition, CIRS 6th Edition, or NIRSAT. Membership eligibility is established at the moment of certification.
02
Set listing preferences
Once the directory launches, certified physicians will be invited to confirm their listing details: practice address, jurisdictions covered, specialty, contact preferences, and any additional credentials they hold. Physicians control what is displayed publicly.
03
Listing goes live
The physician's listing appears in the searchable directory, filterable by referring parties searching for certified evaluators. Listings show only what the physician has chosen to display.
04
Maintain certification to maintain listing
Network listings remain active as long as the underlying AAEME certification is current. Lapsed certifications result in suspended listings until certification is renewed; reinstated certifications restore the listing automatically.

Common Questions About the Network

Direct answers to the questions referring parties and certified physicians most often ask about the e-Eval Network.

What is the e-Eval Network?

The e-Eval Network is a directory of CIRS-certified physicians qualified to perform AMA Guides impairment rating evaluations. The network connects attorneys, insurers, employers, and other referring parties with credentialed evaluators in their jurisdiction. Created by AAEME in 2024, the network is the only directory of physicians whose impairment rating qualifications have been verified through formal certification.

Who can join the e-Eval Network as a physician?

MDs, DOs, and DCs who hold a current AAEME CIRS certification (5th Edition or 6th Edition) are eligible for network membership. NIRSAT certification, which incorporates the 5th Edition CIRS requirements, also qualifies a physician for membership. Eligibility is automatic upon certification with no separate application; listing in the directory itself is opt-in once the directory launches.

Is there a fee to join the network?

Network membership is currently free for AAEME-certified physicians. There is no application fee and no annual membership fee at this time.

How do referring parties find a physician once the directory is live?

The searchable directory will allow attorneys, insurers, employers, and claims administrators to filter by jurisdiction, specialty, AMA Guides edition, and credential held. Each physician's listing will include their verified certification, the jurisdictions they cover, their specialty, and contact information set by the physician.

When will the searchable directory be available?

The searchable directory is in development. Referring parties seeking to be notified when the directory launches, or to request a referral in the interim, can get in touch through the contact page. Certified physicians are automatically eligible upon certification, but listing is opt-in. When the directory launches, eligible physicians will be invited to confirm their listing details and choose what information appears publicly.

I need an impairment rating evaluation now. What should I do?

Referring parties who need a CIRS-certified physician for an immediate impairment rating evaluation can contact AAEME directly. While the searchable directory is being completed, AAEME can provide referrals from the broader network of certified physicians.

What information will be shown publicly on a physician's listing?

Listings will show the physician's name, credentials, current AAEME certification, jurisdictions covered, and contact preferences. Physicians control what is displayed publicly, including whether their direct contact information appears on the listing or whether referral inquiries are routed through AAEME.

What happens if my certification lapses?

Network listings are tied to active certification status. If an AAEME certification lapses, the corresponding network listing is suspended until the certification is renewed. Once renewed, the listing is reinstated automatically.
